Our yarn and fiber are kept in a smoke free home, however, Susan has 3 cats.  The yarn and fiber are carefully stored out of their reach, but we can’t guarantee that there won’t be a cat hair or dander flake left on the yarn.

Dyes and fibers

We use professional dyes on all of our yarn and fiber. We try to watch for excessive extra color when the yarn is rinsed, but some dye my bleed from your purchase. Please wash it with like-colored items.

Many of our items are classified as superwash treated. These items should be machine washable on a cold gentle cycle with like colors and then drip dried. In fact, I wash my hand knitted socks in the washing machine in a garment bag, but your yarn and finished items will last longer if you hand-wash them. Do not use Woolite or bleach on them.

Unless specified, most of our yarn and fiber is soft enough to be next to the skin and machine washable therefor appropriate for baby clothing, however it has not been tested according to the new federal regulations for baby items.

We ship in 48 to 72 hours. We ship via USPS First Class or Priority mail, depending on how much your order weighs. We are not here to make money on shipping. Excessive shipping costs will be refunded to you. A USPS calculator will be add to the site soon.
